Quality & testing
How a FurHealth jar goes from mushroom farm to your pet's bowl — and the checks along the way.
Sourcing
We buy from growers who cultivate mushrooms on wood or natural substrates and can document species and origin. Chaga is sustainably harvested.
Testing
Every incoming lot and every finished batch is tested by an independent lab for heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury) and microbes.
Blending
Formulas are blended in the USA in small batches, so jars are fresh and each batch is traceable by lot number.
Packing
We label, pack and ship every order ourselves from Alliance, Ohio, in recyclable jars and paper-based packaging.

Ask for the paperwork. We'll send it.
Certificates of analysis are available for every batch. Email us the lot number printed on the bottom of your jar and we'll reply with the lab results.
- Lot number on every jar
- Best-by date 24 months from production
- Tamper-evident seal
- Full ingredient amounts — no proprietary blends
What "clean" means to us
"Clean" gets used a lot in marketing. For us, it means three specific things: we use only ingredients that have a clear purpose; we tell you exactly how much of each is in a serving; and we test for the contaminants that matter most in mushroom products.
Our veterinary input
Our formulas were developed with input from a licensed veterinarian and are reviewed whenever we change an ingredient or supplier. Even so, we always recommend talking with your own vet, who knows your pet's history.
Storage & shelf life
Keep jars closed in a cool, dry cupboard. No refrigeration is needed. Powders keep their quality for 24 months unopened; once opened, we recommend using the jar within 6 months.
